At the core of all treatment should be the purpose of living the life of the individual’s desire, an aspiration. For many, romantic relationships and a family feature prominently in that vision. For some of the individuals we serve, concerns about disclosing their mental illness to a partner and potential genetic impact on children discourage them from trying.
